Top 21 put the flags out

Nottingham has gained a record number of Green Flag and Green Pennant Awards this year. The city now has 13 Green Flags for parks, nature reserves and even a cemetery. In addition, eight community-run green spaces have achieved Green Pennant Awards.

Sherwood Sunrisers' Garden The Green Flag Award scheme recognises and rewards the best parks and green spaces in the country. Since 2009, the scheme has been managed by a new consortium of three partners - Keep Britain Tidy, the environmental conservation charity BTCV, and GreenSpace.
