What to See and Do



Garden Lake Newstead Abbey gardens are the perfect place for a relaxing stroll along one of the many paths that takes you past attractive lakes, ponds and waterfalls. The gardens have something to offer in all seasons, with spectacular displays of colour from the rhododendrons in late spring, and the Japanese maples in autumn.

Experience the tranquility of the Victorian Fern and Japanese Gardens.

Peacock Families can admire the peacocks, swans and geese, explore the maze-like Spanish Garden, and spend some time in the children's adventure playground and picnic area. Be sure to ask for a copy of the Wildlife Safari Quiz which helps you spot the animals.
