Nottingham City Council has
launched its own free job opportunities
brochure to help more local people find local jobs.
The first edition
of Nottingham Jobs 4 Nottingham People is being delivered with the latest issue of the Nottingham Arrow
from next week – the Council’s magazine which is delivered free to all 114,000 households in the city.
The
brochure details the latest jobs on offer at the City Council itself – as well as opportunities at 12
other major local employers.
Nottingham Jobs 4 Nottingham People is the latest
part of a drive to encourage more local people to choose the City Council as an employer in order to
better reflect the community it serves, as well as to generally boost the number of people in employment
in the city.
Leader of Nottingham City Council, Councillor Jon Collins, said:
“We have a successful economy and we need to share that success among everyone who lives here. That’s
why we’re starting to deliver Nottingham Jobs 4 Nottingham People free with the Arrow each month containing
details of job opportunities at Nottingham City Council and other large employers in the city.
"We
hope Nottingham Jobs 4 Nottingham People will become the place people look first if they are after a
job for the first time, looking for a new job or keeping an eye open for a new challenge."
