The Big Day Out returns to the grounds of Nottingham
Castle on Saturday September 22nd – and promises to be bigger and better than ever.
The
free annual festival organised by The Big Wheel promotes sustainable transport and a healthy lifestyle
to those living in and around Nottingham, and this year coincides with the International ‘In Town Without
My Car’ Day.
This time around the event is going to be jam-packed full with
DJs, environmental art, drumming and circus workshops, story tellers, street performers, football displays
and gymnastic displays. The Big Day Out will once again play host to a Luminarium – a huge inflatable
sculpture which visitors can roam around inside for free.
There’ll also be
plenty of refreshments available as well as health professionals and travel advisers. Not only that,
but as part of The Big Day Out, The Big Wheel are providing a travel offer for families which enables
you to travel for £3 (for up to five people) on any NCT buses and NET trams on the 22nd September.Click

The Big Day Out comes
as Nottingham City Council asks for people's views on the Workplace Parking Levy - which will fund new
transport improvements. If you want to have your say, and for more info on the work place
parking levy, click here.
