Nottingham City Council is resurfacing the Nuthall Road (A610) junction
with the Ring Road (A6514) from 11-15 August. Work will take place during the evenings between 18.30
and 23.30 to minimise the impact to traffic using the affected routes.
Work
includes the removal of the old worn surface, replacement of any damaged ironwork, manholes, gullies
and laying a new tarmac surface.
During the work, the A610 will be closed to
all traffic apart from buses, but two-way traffic flow will be maintained on the Ring Road with some
lanes restricted whilst we work on them. Diversion Routes for the A610 traffic will be via Bells Lane,
Broxtowe Lane and Aspley Lane or Stockhill Lane, Arnold Road and Hucknall Road for inbound traffic and
via Aspley Lane for outbound traffic.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area
if possible, but alternative diversion routes will be signposted during the working hours. Access to
properties will be maintained at all times but residents of the areas close to this junction have been
asked to make alternative arrangements for journeys to and from their property.
Nottingham
City Council apologises for any inconvenience and reassures motorists that they will do all they can
to keep disruption to a minimum.
