Nottingham City Council is in the process of mailing
out their new ‘on the move guide’ to Greater Nottingham Estate Agents.
The
guide details Nottingham’s excellent public transport network, with details on buses, Park and Ride,
the tram, journey planning and ticketing.
As part of the business toolkit this
guide aims to help estate agents and home buyers by providing a postcode booklet within the guide showing
the fast, frequent bus services within a 5 minute walk of a house or business. These services cover
the whole of Greater Nottingham and run at least every 10 minutes throughout the day. They are low floor,
accessible, high quality routes with late night departures into the small hours.
This
guide is ideal for new movers as it provides information on easy access to the City Centre, work places
and leisure sites.
Cllr Brian Parbutt, Portfolio Holder for Transport, Economic
Development and Skills at Nottingham City Council, said: “Nottingham City Council and its partners want
to make Nottingham an attractive stress-free place to live and work. We believe that to promote growth,
people need to be able to get around in a sustainable way.
This ‘on
the move’ guide complements the recent launch of the Big Wheel business toolkit aimed at new businesses
moving into the City. The toolkit includes personalised journey plans, smartcards for travel, electronic
arrival information near businesses, together with a range of further service improvements.”
