Does your organisation want to reduce the demand for parking spaces at your worksite? Do you need advice and support with managing staff and business travel? Nottingham City Council may be able to help….

In advance of the introduction of the proposed Workplace Parking Levy (WPL) in 2010, the City Council is offering financial and specialised support for organisations wishing to reduce car dependency at their site/s.

Funding awards of up to £10,000* are available in 2008/9 for WPL liable organisations to pilot approaches to travel planning and promotion of sustainable travel choices, including promotion of public transport information and personal journey planning services. * In exceptional circumstances awards of up to £20,000 will be considered.

Want to find out more? The City Council is now seeking expressions of interest to participate in this year’s pilot programme. To register your interest, please request your application form from Matthew Price at Nottingham City Council. Please submit applications by Tuesday 30th September 2008.
