A market takes place in Dryden Street on Monday (April 28) to
introduce students to the variety of stalls and goods available at Nottingham Markets.
Crafts,
fabrics, jewellery, fine foods, and fruit and veg stalls will be open along the street next to Nottingham
Trent University’s City campus to give a flavour of what is available at Nottingham’s seven regular
markets in the Victoria Centre, Bulwell, Bilborough, Hyson Green, Clifton, St Ann’s, Clinton Street and the speciality markets in the Old Market
Square.
This is the third year a market has been
held in Dryden Street. Councillor Dave Trimble, Nottingham City Council’s portfolio holder for Leisure, Culture and Communities
said: It gives students a chance to see how much is on offer at local markets and that it is well worthwhile
visiting them for a wide variety of goods and produce.
