Cllr
Katrina Bull, Portfolio Holder for Environment and Climate Change at Nottingham City Council, said:
Cigarette related litter is probably the most common type of litter on our streets, cigarette ends
are unsightly and are very costly for the taxpayers to clean up. Nottingham City Council wants to send
a message that it will not tolerate unnecessary littering and anyone caught dropping litter will receive
an on the spot fine. We have recently provided an additional 1000 litter bins across the city to assist
people to dispose of their litter
