Finalists announced: vote for your local star

Voting opens on 1 March for 21 short-listed finalists in Nottingham’s Proud of You 2007 awards.

The awards, brought to you by Nottingham City Council, One Nottingham and Trent FM, offer residents in Nottingham the opportunity to give an individual or group the recognition they deserve.

Nominations closed on 12 February, and now the shortlisted finalists, along with the people who nominated them, have been invited to a starry evening of glitz and glamour at the Council House on Monday 26 March when the winners will be revealed. Winners will each receive a personal award plus a £1,000 grant for their chosen local organisation or initiative.

To vote for your favourite in each of the seven categories simply pick up a voting slip from the Information Point at The Guildhall, the Council House or your local leisure centre. Completed forms can be posted in boxes at the same places, or returned through the post.

Votes can also be registered online via www.trentfm.co.uk.

The closing date for voting is Monday 19 March at 5.00pm and everyone who votes will be automatically entered into a free prize draw to win concert tickets for Nottingham Arena and a share of £1,000 cash.
