A new Cyber Cafe and multimedia resource at The Meadows Youth Club was officially opened last week by Nottingham Forest "Player of the Year" Julian Bennett.

Youth workers from Nottingham City Council successfully secured two Youth Opportunity Fund applications to develop the projects.

Local young people have been involved in all stages of the application, from the initial discussions and planning, through to the design and application.  

The new cyber café provides young people with safe internet access and a place to meet new friends.

The new multimedia project uses a recording studio designed to develop skills for the music business, such as studio engineering, music and video production and web-page design.

Both projects will be based at The Meadows Youth Centre, which was voted Youth Centre of the Year in 2007 by Notts Clubs for Youth People.
