Local Foster Carers for Local Children

400 children need carersMore local foster carers are needed to look after the 400 children and young people cared for by Nottingham City's Fostering Service.

Over £4 million is being invested in the city's fostering services in the coming year to ensure that cared for children from Nottingham can be cared for by city based foster carers.

The cash will go to recruit and train new carers and to provide support for existing carers. The drive will aim to keep more foster children in the city and in touch with their support networks such as family and friends. Cash will also go towards providing assistance for those children who cannot continue to live locally and will help make sure that children in care receive the services they need to help them develop into successful adults.

If you want to find out more about becoming a foster carer call 0115 915 1234 or click here to visit our Fostering and Adoption pages. We welcome applications from all communities and are looking especially for carers for dual heritage and black children, sibling groups and teenagers.
