sisters, children with learning difficulties and disabilities, and Black and ethnic minority families,
takes place at the Council House on Thursday. (July 24)
Experienced and new foster parents will be on hand to share their
inspirational stories that have changed the lives of children. The public information event, hosted
by Nottingham City Council, opens at 11am and continues until 6pm.
Last year
38 new foster parents in Nottingham provided homes for 63 children in care. In total, there are approximately 180 families fostering children for Nottingham City Council but more
are always needed. There are 480 children in the care of the City Council.
On Thursday anyone
interested in fostering can call in to the Council House to meet existing foster carers and get full
