Nottingham’s vibrant and creative community is being invited to launch
the fast approaching Nottingham Creative Business Awards 2007.
The city
is bursting at the seams with talented musicians, photographers, graphic designers, writers, fashion
designers, advertising agencies, interior designers, performers, artists and film makers.
The Nottingham Creative Business Awards will celebrate these creative people
and raise Nottingham’s profile as a creative city of national and international importance.
The
organisers of the awards, Nottingham Creative Network, are inviting the creative community to register
their entry and come together for a group photograph at the Left Lion in the Old Market Square on Tuesday
July 10 at 4pm and then to the Broadway, Broad Street, for food, drink and music.
Paul
Hough of Nottingham Creative Network said: “We want to make sure that as many people as possible enter
for awards. Not only do we want to make sure the best are rewarded, but we also want to show just how
much excellent, challenging - and above all, successful - work is going on around the city.”
The
awards ceremony will be held on Thursday October 18 2007, spread between Nottingham’s Council House
and Broadway Media Centre – one of the hubs of activity in the city - and will showcase the work of
the nominees through screenings, performance, exhibitions and fashion shows.
Entries will close on July 31 2007 and may relate to work created or designed
in the previous two years. Self-nomination or nomination by a third party are acceptable.
All
media are invited to attend the event in the Old Market Square at 4.00pm on Tuesday July 10 2007.
