Nottingham City Council is seeking the views of
local business on
the current economic climate within the area and their forecast for the next two years.
The
Economic Development Service at the City Council are conducting a survey of local businesses to assess
the current state of the local economy and to highlight any issues for the future
An
on-line survey of businesses within the Greater Nottingham area is being conducted during October. Any
business wishing to give their views can contribute to the survey by logging on to http://www.focuszenith.com/ncc/business_consultation.htm.
The survey will ask for information on how businesses have performed over
the last three years and perceptions of the strengths and weaknesses of the city as a place to do business.
The survey will also ask businesses to comment on their plans for the next
couple of years, potential barriers to growth and how Nottingham City Council can help them.
Cllr
Graham Chapman, Deputy Leader at Nottingham City Council, said: “This survey is going to help us do
a health check on the local economy. We need to know this in order to help us encourage investment and
support firms to grow within the city as well as helping us to support local jobs.
The
results of the survey will be used to check the health of the local economy and also to stimulate its
continued growth by ensuring Nottingham City Council and its partners within the city are helping to
deliver the right products and services to sustain and grow local business.
All responses to the survey will be treated as confidential and will only be used for statistical purposes. No individual business information will be released.
The survey will be open
until Friday 31 October 2008.
