Nottingham City Libraries supports the 25th year of Nottingham Mental Health Awareness Weeks with events aimed at taking care of body and mind:

Nottingham Central Library

Wednesday 11 October 2017 6pm to 7:30pm

Let’s talk about change with Lina Mookerjee

Change is a natural part of life but can sometimes feel overwhelming and have a negative impact on our wellbeing. Whether it is physical or circumstantial change, learn techniques to cope better with change and stay well.

This workshop is followed by a further three workshops on 1st, 8th and 15th November 2017.

Journal making with Sarah Manton

Creativity is a great way of improving our sense of wellbeing and keeping a journal can be a useful therapeutic tool. Join artist Sarah Manton to make a wonderful button and string journal for yourself or as a gift for someone else.

Did you know Nottingham Central Library, Aspley Library and Bulwell Riverside Library run courses delivered by the Nottingham Primary Health, Wellbeing & Recovery College? New courses begin in January at these libraries and other city locations with themes such as anxiety management, building self-confidence and getting a good night’s sleep all covered.
