Jobs and Training Information at Your Library

Every Nottingham City Library has a Jobs Info point with books, leaflets and electronic resources to help you find the work and training you want

 Jobs Info points in city libraries contain up to date information about:

Employment Advice and Support in Libraries

Several of our libraries have regular work clubs where you can get help from advisors with job searching, application forms, interview skills, CV writing, finding training and much more.  Free access to computers and printing is available during the sessions. 

Anyone looking for work and training is welcome - come along to meet and chat with other people who are looking for work.

  • Aspley Library Work Club - every Tuesday, 2pm to 5pm, sessions run by employment advisors from Groundwork Nottingham
  • Basford Library Employment Advice - every Thursday, 1pm to 2:30pm, sessions run by an advisor from Bestwood Directions
  • Bilborough Library Work Club - every Tuesday, 10am to 1pm sessions run by employment advisors from Groundwork Nottingham
  • Bulwell Riverside Library Work Club - every Wednesday, 10am to 12:30pm and 1pm to 4pm sessions run by employment advisors from Right Track
  • Clifton Library Work Club (Age 30+) - every Tuesday, 11:30am to 4pm, sessions run by employment advisors from Meadows Partnership Trust
  • Clifton Library Work Club (Age 18 to 29) every Friday, 11am to 2pm, sessions run by employment advisors from Meadows Partnership Trust
  • Hyson Green Library Work Club - every Monday, 1pm to 3pm, sessions run by employment advisors from NG7 and Castle Cavendish  
  • Nottingham Central Library Work Club - every Wednesday 1pm to 4pm, sessions supported by advisors from NG7 Training, Employment and Advice and City College Nottingham
  • Radford-Lenton Library Work Club - every Monday, 10am to 12pm, sessions run by an employment advisor from Belong
  • Sherwood Library Work Club - every Tuesday 10pm to 12pm, sessions run by an advisor from NG7
  • St Ann's Valley Library Work Club - every Tuesday, 9:30am to 12:30pm, sessions run by an employment advisor from Renewal Trust

  • East Midlands Shared Services is where you can find out about vacancies within Nottingham City Council
  • The Apprenticeship Hub will point you to hundreds of Apprenticeship vacancies in every sector from business admin and engineering to hospitality and digital media
  • Prospects is the postgraduate careers website and includes careers advice, graduate job opportunities and information about postgraduate courses, funding and events
  • Universal jobmatch is the Jobcentre Plus website which allows you to search current job vacancies, post your CV and create a job profile online
