Drama and Playset Collection: Play Scripts for Amateur Dramatic Groups

Whether you are in an amateur dramatic group, a play-reading group, a church or youth club or even a family that enjoys going to the theatre, we have a large collection of playsets for you to borrow, located on Floor 3 of Nottingham Central Library.

Most drama groups can borrow sets and any library member may borrow a single copy of any play for free.

Plays range from old favourites like Shakespeare and Shaw to works by modern writers like Alan Ayckbourn and David Mamet. If you have been invited for an audition, browse our collection of monologues and sketches to find the perfect piece. We also stock a wide selection of both traditional and modern pantomimes:

If you have a specific play you are looking for, check our online library catalogue to see if we have copies available. In some circumstances we can obtain titles which are not in our stock, so talk to us to see how we can help you.

If you need help with your choice, wish to request a title or need any further information, please contact us on 0115 915 2811 or email enquiryline@nottinghamcity.gov.uk.
