Jobs and Training Information at Your Library

Every Nottingham City Library has a Jobs Info point with books, leaflets and electronic resources to help you find the work and training you want.

If you’re looking for work or training, there are lots of ways your local library can help you.

Preparation for Work course

Looking for work and need help with the basics of job seeking? Join Nottingham College for a 7 week course to equip you to find a job.  Topics covered include the local labour market, covering letters, how to sell yourself to an employer, preparing for interviews and working for yourself.

The course will be held at Central Library in the Learning Centre (Floor 2) and lasts for 7 weeks starting Wednesday 12th September 9.30 to 12.30pm, with an enrolment session 10am to 12pm on Wednesday 5th September.  You must be able to attend all sessions.

Attendance is free to people on means-tested benefits (you will need to bring proof of this and some ID to the enrolment session) otherwise there is a fee of £68.25.

Interested? Register your interest at the Floor 2 Helpdesk or contact us on 0115 915 2841 or business.library@nottinghamcity.gov.uk
