It takes confidence to support your child’s learning but evidence shows that when parents, carers and other family members are more involved, the child achieves more.
Our Family Learning courses are designed to help parents and carers build confidence by understanding how children learn and develop. They also provide a route back into education for adults wanting to improve their own English, maths and digital skills. They are also a great way to make new friends, share experiences and improve your learning.
Family Learning courses are convenient too; most of them are run in local libraries, community centres, schools and other community venues in Nottingham making
Your Family Learning tutor will always try to make your learning experience fun and informative, with many activities relating to everyday experiences. Whatever age your child or children are, Family Learning courses will support your child’s:
- Health and wellbeing
- Development and learning
- Understanding of phonics, reading and maths
- Online safety
- Understanding of money and budgeting
- Relationships and learning choices
We also offer additional support and crèche provision at no extra cost.
Learning always takes place in a safe and supportive environment to ensure you feel comfortable and confident to express yourself. You will be actively supported throughout your learning journey and offered guidance on education and career progression opportunities.
