We are currently offering two training courses:
- Signs of safety awareness workshops
- Safeguarding children and young people from child sexual exploitation training
Please see the flyers below for further information on each training course.
In addition we offer self directed learning courses on a variety of subjects.
If you have any questions then please get in contact by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 0115 876 4762.
Please use the NCSCP Application Form to apply for places on our courses, making sure you provide all the information requested.
All courses are now delivered at Loxley House, unless otherwise specified, and reception has been asked by ourselves, to not give access to people who arrive for our courses later than 15 minutes after it started. So if a course starts at 1.30pm, you will not be allowed into the course if you arrive after 1:45 pm.
Please ensure you arrive in good time to avoid disappointment or contact us if you are unexpectedly delayed.
NCSCP will fund all training, however, if you are offered a place and fail to attend having made no apologies (no less than 24 hours of the course commencing), an invoice will be sent directly to your line manager, for the sum of £40.00, to recuperate any losses.
Introductory level safeguarding training
Agencies are responsible for providing introductory-level safeguarding training to their staff and volunteers. Community and voluntary sector organisations who cannot provide training to their staff and volunteers can access safeguarding training from Nottingham Community and Voluntary Service. Information about their training can be accessed here.
The Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP) and Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Partnership (NCSCP) have developed an annual Training Content Checklist for all organisations that work with children and young people to assure that their organisation’s Introductory Safeguarding Children training covers the minimum course content. Information about the checklist can be found here.
The Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Partnership (NCSCP) and Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP) have a competency framework for safeguarding children. The competency framework enables partner agencies to review and assure the Partnership that different staff groups are competent to an appropriate level and accessing appropriate training to support this.
