Latest News on the Examination

The LAPP was submitted for Examination in April 2018 with hearing sessions taking place in November and December 2018. The Inspector has written to the Council to confirm the Examination can proceed to consultation on the proposed Main Modifications which are considered to be required to make the Plan sound/and or legally compliant.

A number of documents are now available for comment or for information.

Set out below is the Latest News

28 June 2019

Consultation on the Proposed Main Modifications to the Local Planning Document finished at 5pm on 28 June 2019. The details of this stage can be found on the Main Modification page. All the representations received on the Main Modifications will be forwarded to the Inspector for her consideration, together with a report from the City Council summarising the main issues raised and providing a brief response to those issues.  It is then anticipated that the Inspector will issue her final report on the LAPP in late Summer.  If found legally compliant and sound the Plan will then be formally adopted by the Council in Autumn 2019

17 May 2019 

Consultation begun on the Proposed Main Modification with a number of documents issued by the Council;

The Inspector has issued a letter LAPP. INSP 19 15.1.19 Main Modifications Note Jan 2019 which sets out modifications that in the Inspector's view are required to ensure that the Plan is sound and legally compliant.

10 January 2019 

Two informal draft documents have been produced relating to proposed modifications. The Inspector is considering these and is due to respond imminently. A final Proposed Main Modifications document will be produced for formal public consultation in due course. These draft documents have been added to the Examination library part 2:

Following examination of the documents submitted the Inspector has issued her Matters, Issues and Questions (MIQs) LAPP.INSP.07 26.9.18. The Inspector has also issued a MIQ Inspector's Guidance Note (LAPP.INSP.09 26.9.18) for those wishing to respond to the MIQs.  All statements, whether electronic and/or in paper form, should be received by the Programme Officer by 5pm on Monday 22 October 2018. No new evidence or documents should be submitted at the Hearings or afterwards unless specifically requested.

In addition the Inspector has also issued an Outline Programme of the hearings (LAPP.INSP.08 26.9.18).  It should be noted that the programme will be updated on the run up to and potentially through the hearing sessions and you should therefore check the web site regularly.

25 September

Details of the proposed venue for the hearing sessions have been confirmed.  The hearing sessions are to be held at Life at the Centre, Central Methodist Mission, 22 Lower Parliament Street, Nottingham, NG1 3DA.  Full details available on the Details of the Examination Page (see The Venue) and include directions, public transport information and a map.

The Examination Hearings sessions that were scheduled to take place in September of this year under the provisional timetable have now been delayed until later this year or, potentially, into early 2019.  This is due to the requirement for a new Habitat Regulations Assessment which is currently being prepared.
