Labour holds Bridge Ward in by-election
Michael Edwards, the Labour candidate, has been elected as Nottingham City Councillor for the Bridge Ward after the by-election held on October 20th following the death of former Councillor Ian MacLennan.
The full results are as follows:
Michael Edwards (Labour) - 1,152
Saghir Akhtar (Liberal Democrat) - 892
Mohammad (known as Michael) Ilyas (Conservative Party) - 172
Andrew Taylor (UK Independence Party) - 50
David Bishop (Bus-Pass Elvis Party) - 27
The turnout was 24.15%
