Robin Hood makes an appearance at MIPIM

Nottingham's legendary son will be very much in evidence at MIPIM. On the first night of the event, Tim Garratt, a Director of Innes England and a member of the Sheriff's Commission Advisory Board, will be providing an update on the work of the commission, which is looking into ways the city can maximise on the appeal of the Robin Hood story.

Russell Crowe as Robin Hood

He will explain the ideas that are coming forward including a world-class Robin Hood themed attraction, the timescales and challenges involved and how Nottingham is planning to make the most of the new Ridley Scott film, Robin Hood, starring Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett. Delegates will get an exclusive preview of the new film and an insight into plans for Nottingham's Robin Hood month in May to coincide with the film, which will include plenty of medieval merriment in the city and in Sherwood Forest, as well as a special exhibition of film props at Nottingham Castle - underway from this month as a result of a partnership with Universal Studios.
