Primary education
In Nottingham there are around eighty primary schools - the majority of which have a nursery attached.
The first year of primary school is aligned to early years education, so if a child has been to a nursery or daycare everything should be familiar to them.
The next two years of primary school are called Key Stage 1 and the next four years are known as Key Stage 2. For each of these stages, the National Curriculum lays down which subjects are taught.
