Parklife - free activities in parks and open spaces in Nottingham

Parklife is a series of fun FREE community events which offer a range of exciting activities in the parks and open spaces in Nottingham city.

Parklife brings together a wide range of local organisations and partners offering activities and ideas about how to get active and be healthy in your area, including:

  • Sports & games
  • Health advice & activities
  • Bouncy castles & inflatables
  • Climbing wall
  • Under 5s & family activities
  • Hip hop & street dance
  • Drumming workshops
  • Local services

Bring a picnic and make a day of it!

The dates and venues for this year's events are below.  Specific event activities will be available shortly.

Each event takes place 11am - 4pm.

  • Wednesday 22 July, Southglade Park (Southglade Road, Bestwood)   
  • Tuesday 28 July, King George V (Aspley Lane, Strelley)
  • Thursday 30 July, Coppice Park (Ransom Road, Mapperley) Please note this event was cancelled due to wet weather causing access problems to the park.
  • Thursday 6 August, Forest Recreation Ground (Gregory Boulevard, Forest Fields) JOINT EVENT WITH NOTTINGHAM PLAYDAY
  • Tuesday 11 August, King Edward Recreation Ground (Dakeyne Street - off Carlton Road - St Ann's)
  • Thursday 13 August, Bulwell Hall Park (Norwich Gardens, Bulwell)
  • Tuesday 18 August, Clifton Playing Fields (Farnborough Road, Clifton)
  • Thursday 20 August, Birchover Recreation Ground (Birchover Road, Bilborough)
  • Tuesday 25 August, Queen's Walk Recreation Ground (The Meadows)
  • Thursday 27 August, Vernon Park (Vernon Road, Old Basford)

We all know how difficult it can be to get involved in your community and find out what's available, but by coming to your local Parklife event you'll be able to find out exactly what's available on your doorstop.  You'll be able to pick up lots of tips and ideas on how to become more active and how to lead a healthy life.  There are heaps of fun and exciting ways to keep fit and healthy, come and find out what inspires you and your family!

Beat the Queues

You can pre-register for Parklife online and use the fast track entrance lane on the day.  To pre-register either fill out the online form (click on 'Parklife monitoring form in the top left hand box) or download the form below, print it, fill it out and bring it along on the day.
