It was with sadness that the Board received the resignation of Margaret McGlade as Independent Chair in August 2011, and then to hear of her death in October 2011.
Margaret made an outstanding contribution to the development of the work of the Board during challenging times, and will be greatly missed.
A new independent chair, Paul Burnett, has been appointed on an interim basis until the end of March 2012, by which time a review of the Adults and Childrens Safeguarding Boards will have been undertaken.
