Robin Hood - a wanted man
It's always nice to be wanted and right now Robin Hood is more wanted than ever.
In the eyes of the Sheriff of Nottingham, Robin was only ever wanted as a fugitive, but now a truce has been called in order to make the most of our local treasure.
New Sheriff, Councillor Leon Unczur, has set up a group called the Sheriff's Commission to come up with a range of events and attractions based around the Robin Hood legends to help boost tourism in the city.
With a star-studded Ridley Scott film called 'Robin Hood' due for release next year, the Sheriff wants to capitalise on one of our greatest assets and get him right back in the city's tourism spotlight. The Sheriff's Commission will gather proposals for Robin Hood events and attractions and turn the best ones into reality. They will also be launching a design competition for new Robin Hood logos.
