Wollaton Hall, a magnificent Elizabethan mansion, is set in beautiful parkland, where red and fallow deer roam freely. This striking example of Renaissance domestic architecture stands in a commanding position, which can be seen for miles around – what better venue than this for your special day.

We are delighted to be able to offer this unique and historic building for civil wedding ceremonies & wedding receptions. The distinctive rooms available at Wollaton Hall provide the perfect romantic atmosphere and elegant surrounding for such a special event.

The Willoughby Room is an elegant yet stylish first floor room with panoramic views over the front lawns of Wollaton Hall which can seat up to 100 guests for a civil ceremony.

The Camellia House is the oldest metal framed glass house in Europe. It is situated within the formal gardens of Wollaton Park and is an ideal space  for pre receptions drinks and wedding photographs.

The Great Hall is available for your evening wedding reception. It can accommodate 100 guests for dinner or buffet reception.

Civil Weddings & Wedding Receptions at Newstead Abbey:

As the former home of the romantic poet Lord Byron, Newstead Abbey has proved extremely popular with couples from all over the world. The Orangery, in which the weddings are conducted, was originally the South Transept of the Priory Church. The Byron Family, who bought the estate from Henry V111, used the room to cultivate citrus fruits, hence its name.

The Orangery is 30ft x 30ft, comfortably seating 100 guests and is situated on the ground floor, making it easily accessible to wheelchair users. A separate room is provided for the bride and groom to meet the registrar. After the ceremony photographs can be taken in the gardens

Newstead Abbey's West Front Suite is located on the first floor of the South West Wing.  The main feature of the suite is its stunning view of the West Front, the romantic icon of Newstead Abbey. With its historic feel and stylish contemporary decor it will suit with any style of occasion. The West Front Suite can hold up to 70 guests for an evening dinner and 120 for an informal evening reception.  Hire includes the use of the Cannon Fort and Cascade Rooms, as well as the courtyard area.

Newstead abbey can also offer the striking and atmospheric Cloisters and peaceful Victorian Garden room for pre-reception drinks and canapés when used in conjunction with The Orangery for the wedding ceremony.

Wedding Receptions at Nottingham Castle Wedding:

Nottingham castle enables you to entertain your guests in the elegant Victorian gallery lined with imposing Old Masters from the museum collection. The room is impressively spacious making it a popular venue for formal receptions and dinners. The Long Gallery can hold up to 150 people for a formal dinner.

Alternatively the Café at the Castle is available for evening hire. This versatile and contemporary space is suitable for various styles of wedding receptions from canapé receptions to informal parties. With access to the terrace and panoramic views of the city, the café offers the perfect venue for a more informal reception. The café can hold up to 120 guests in an informal setting.

The Bandstand situated within the Castle grounds is a light and airy space, perfect for pre-reception drinks and wedding photos on warm Summer days.
