Nottingham City Council Park Rangers hold a wide variety of events throughout the year in parks and natural sites across the city.

Family Bushcraft - Woodthorpe Grange Park
Saturday 1 June 10am-12pm
Come and try your hand at learning some woodland survival skills like shelter building, fire lighting, wood whittling and tool use.

Longest Day Evening Walk - Forest Recreation Ground to Nottingham Arboretum
Friday 21 June 7pm
Join the Park ranger for a summer solstice stroll around three historical sites starting in the Forest Recreation Ground, taking in Rock Cemetery and finishing in the Arboretum.

Heritage Walk - Woodthorpe Grange Park

Come and learn more about this fascinating site with the Park ranger and discover more about its heritage and some of its unique features.

Nature Walk - Bulwell Hall Park
Sunday 30 June 10am
Join the Park Ranger for an informative walk around this site which features spring flowers, ancient woodland, open park land, grassland, open water and streams.

Scavenger Hunt - Highfields Park

Join the Park Rangers on this unique scavenger hunt around Highfields Park. Put your investigative and detective skills to the test. It's a race against time to discover which family will find the hidden clues first. Only the bravest will survive this den-building challenge!

11th Inclosure Walk - From Queen's Walk to Forest Recreation Ground
Sunday 7th July 2-5pm
Annual walk led by June Perry (Friends of the Forest) around Nottingham's historic parks.
Meet at the Toll Bridge at the end of Queen's Walk, Meadows.
Scavenger Hunt - Forest Recreation Ground
