Work Experience and Volunteering Information

w/p booklet2The contribution of employers and the voluntary sector plays a key role in developing young people to become the citizens of tomorrow

We are always looking for employers/voluntary organisations who are able to offer work/voluntary experience to one or more of our Entry to Employment learners.  If you would like to become one of our work experience employers or voluntary placements this is what to expect

  • Support and understanding
  • Regular visits from the Work Placement Officer to discuss progress
  • Provision of any Personal Protective Equipment required by the student
  • Provision of all travel costs and training allowance

What is expected from the employer / voluntary placement

  • To identify a work experience position
  • To identify when the student will attend - days, hours and duration
  • To support and supervise the student
  • To participate in meetings with the Work Placement Officer to discuss student's progress
  • To provide a safe working environment for the student at all times

What you need to do

Complete a work experience referral form and send it to us by email or by post or alternatively contact the Work Placement Officer directly.
