Learning Works for Young People
A training provision for young people 16 - 18 including Entry to Employment (e2e) training and other Specialised Training Programmes
About Learning Works for Young People
Learning Works for Young People has been delivering training to young people for over 20 years and has an above average record of moving young people on into further education, training or employment.
Staff work closely with other agencies in the City such as Connexions, Youth Service, Healthy Living Centres etc., and the training carried out is driven by the Every Child Matters agenda.
We currently train over 200 young people each year who are referred to us from a variety of sources, including schools and Connexions.

Training Programmes
The main training programme delivered by Learning Works for Young People is Entry to Employment Training. However we also deliver some specialised training programmes for example two pre e2e programmes with Irish Travellers and Roma young people and other training programmes such as Aspirations aimed at increasing young women's confidence and self esteem.
The ultimate aim is to engage students and help them progress into a sustainable positive progression such as education, employment or training.
Training programmes are currently delivered in the following locations.
- City Centre - Cairns Street (back of Victoria Centre)
- Aspley Community and Training Centre, Off Minver Crescent
- Green Lane Community Centre, Green Lane, Clifton
- Sycamore Centre, Hungerhill Road, Nottingham
- Bestwood Directions, Rear of Henry Whipple School, Padstow Road
- Bulwell Vision, Red Lion Community Centre, Bulwell
