The Specialist Housing Development Team is committed to developing, implementing and promoting high quality specialist housing for older people living in Nottingham.

About the Team
The team is involved in reviewing the overall provision of accommodation and services for older people living in Nottingham to reflect changing needs, local 
and national policies, priorities and best practice within the sector.
The team is responsible for developing extra care housing and for reviewing and remodelling the City Council's sheltered housing stock in partnership with Nottingham City Homes. The work is both strategic and operational.
Current Projects
Work is currently underway to deliver an extra care action plan allowing the team to make recommendations about the future of the sheltered accommodation by an area based appraisal to develop further extra care housing.
Partnerships are being formed with private, statutory and voluntary organisations to develop a wide choice of schemes for the city's older residents.
