Adaptations, Improvements and Grants

Woman in wheelchair with manThe City Council runs a number of schemes and grants for both their council tenants and people who own their homes to have them adapted or improved.

Not everyone will qualify to have work done. Use the links below to find out more about the different sorts of adaptations and grants we offer to see if you do.

You can also carry out improvements to your home at your own expense. More information about adapting your home is available using the links below.

Please note, you may be entitled to a reduction in your council tax if your home has been adapted to accommodate a disability. Please see the council tax page on the right for further information.

Repairs

The repairs service is run by Nottingham City Homes for all of its tenants.
Contact the Call Centre on 0115 915 2222 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).

Information that will be useful for you to have available before you call:

  • your name, address and a daytime phone number
  • as many details about the repair as possible
