Opening Times

Hall & Museum

March to October, open daily: 10am - 5pm (last entry 4.30pm)
From 1 April 2013, Wollaton Hall will open from 10am to 5pm (last entry 4.30pm)

November to February, open Thursday - Monday: 10am - 4pm (last entry 3.30pm)
Wollaton Hall will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during these winter months to enable us to undertake important conservation works to the building and its vast collections.

The gates around the park close at various times over half an hour.  Using 23 April as an example, the gates close at the following times:

The park is completely closed to the public when the exit gate is shut. Please make sure you leave enough time to get across the park.


Admission

Entry to the park and Wollaton Hall is FREE.
Car parking charges apply.

How to get here 

By Car

Wollaton Hall is 3 miles to the west of the city centre and can be found by following the brown signs from the A52 or the A6514. From the M1 take junction 25 and follow the signs.  The postcode for your sat nav is NG8 2AE.

Car parking

Car parks are located throughout the site, with a charge of £2 for 3 hours or £4 per day. 
Car parking season ticket is also available at the Yard Shop (near the Cafe) for just £30 per year.

Disabled Badge Holders may park free of charge. There is limited parking for blue badge holders outside the front entrance of the Hall.

Shop & eat

Cafe in the Courtyard - A stylish addition to the Courtyard Stables, the cafe serves a range of refreshments including home made soups, sandwiches and a range of hot and cold seasonal specials. Vegetarian options are always available.

Shop - The shop, which is also located in the Courtyard Stables, stocks an extensive range of crafts, souvenirs, gifts and books, and is open all year round.


Information for disabled visitors

Wollaton Hall staff are always keen to help the public get the most out of their visit to the site. Please be aware that our external platform lift is currently out of order and an alternate entry point is in place.  For further details please call 0115 9153900.  Disabled visitors and those with limited mobility or visitors with different needs should be aware that there is:

  • Lift access to gallery floors and toilets
  • A 'Changing Places' toilet and height adjustable changing bench is available. Users are requested to bring their own slings and register before use at the Industrial Museum reception.
  • Tactile models of the park and hall
  • A route plan with guide in Braille
  • Subtitled videos
