If you are making a return journey or are using more than one bus or tram, these tickets are for you. Often purchasing a day ticket can be cheaper than buying two single tickets.

For passengers making journeys that include multi operator journeys for example NET and trentbarton the Kangaroo ticket allows unlimited travel across all modes including rail.

  1. What can I get with a Kangaroo?
    Unlimited all day travel on participating Bus, Rail and Tram operators within the Nottingham area.
  2. And who are the participating operators?
    On every service of every operating company operating within the Kangaroo Boundary :
    • Bus:
      NCT, Trent Barton, Premiere, Yourbus, South Notts, Notts+Derby, Pathfinder, Stagecoach East Midlands, Arriva Midlands and Reliance.
      Also Nottinghamshire, Nottingham City and Leicestershire Council contracted buses coming into or around Nottingham - all Dunnline, Paul Winson, Paul James, Doyles and Premiere Travel contracts.
    • Park and Ride bus services from Queens Drive and Racecourse
    • Tram – all services
    • Train – all services on East Midlands trains and Cross Country trains within the boundary, valid at/from Beeston, Bulwell, Carlton, Netherfield and Nottingham
  3. Where can a Kangaroo be used?
    There are detailed maps to show this area but in general it follows the boundary of the 'built up area of Greater Nottingham' – so it covers areas such as Beeston, Chilwell, Wollaton, Bulwell, Arnold, Carlton, West Bridgford and Ruddington. Boundary points on main routes into Nottingham:

  5. What services can't I use with a Kangaroo?
    It can't be used on Night buses and dedicated school buses, initially it will be for adult day travel
  6. Where do I buy a Kangaroo?
    You can buy one at the beginning of your journey  -  on any bus (or tram)
    Or in advance -  a scratch card version means you can buy your Kangaroo in advance for maximum ease of use (you simply scratch off that day's date when you use it). It is available at Broadmarsh and Victoria  Bus stations, the NCT Travel Centre and Beeston Train Station.
