Big changes to Council Tax and Housing Benefit

The Government is abolishing Council Tax Benefit and requiring local councils to run their own Schemes from April 2013. The Government is also reducing the amount of money it gives to local councils to help people with their Council Tax Bills. After consultation with local people, Nottingham City Council has adopted a Council Tax Support Scheme for 2013/14 that will be introduced in April 2013.
