Nottingham Central Library - Floor 1 - Local Studies Library

The Local Studies Library on Floor 1 of Nottingham Central Library is a collection of resources describing the changing scene of the local area from earliest times to the present day, the communities affected, prominent individuals and related subjects.

The relocated and refurbished Local Studies Library opened to the public in February 2011 on Floor 1 of Nottingham Central Library. Stock is still being returned to the library from storage and so not all items are immediately accessible - please contact library staff in advance of your visit.

Accessing the material

A small collection of materials for loan is available on Floor 1, but most of the Local Studies stock is for use in the library only. The main Local Studies Collection is housed in a separate area of Nottingham Central Library, accessible to staff only. Please ask staff at the Enquiry Desk for help in finding what you want.
