Nottingham City Consortium for AIM Awards Qualifications

Nottingham City Council leads a consortium of schools and training providers (known as satellite centres) that deliver AIM Awards qualifications to 14-19 year olds in Nottingham.

Applying for a certificate

The Nottingham City Consortium was established in 2004 and currently includes around 40 providers.

Nottingham City Council operates as the lead centre on behalf of schools and providers.  This means that individual centres are not charged centre registration fees and only have to pay the learner registration/certification fees.

Nottingham City Council also provides comprehensive administrative support to satellite centres, from initial centre recognition through to external moderation. This ensures all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted to the awarding body in a timely manner.

Below are a number of documents which outline the process for registering new centres, courses and learners, and also an administration guide for the registration process.

Satellite Centres must ensure learners are registered at least 4 weeks before external moderation using the Learner Registration Form. A Recommendation for Award of Credit (RAC) form will be sent to you and this will be used to claim certificates for learners.

Please note: learner and unit details on the RAC form must not be amended or edited as the form will become void. Any changes to units should be made using the Course Amendment Form and new learners should be registered using the Learner Registration Form.
