Dog Breeding
If you are breeding dogs for sale, where during any twelve month period five or more litters are born to your bitch or bitches, a licence is required from the Local Authority.
The number of litters a bitch is allowed to have in her lifetime is restricted to six. Also, no more than one litter may be born in any twelve month period to any one bitch, and bitches may not be mated if they are under one year old.
The current fee is £128.00
Before granting a licence, the premises will be inspected.
