Customers' cancellation rights

If you agree a contract with one of your customers during a visit to their home or place of work, you have to give them cancellation rights and a written cancellation notice. If you don't, you may not be able to enforce the contract and get paid.

Trading Standards has produced a podcast to help you understand this. Click here to view the cancellation rights podcast. (The podcast is hosted on Nottinghamshire County Council's Buy With Confidence webpage.)

We've also produced a form to help you comply. Download the form and save it to your computer. The form includes instructions on how to use it.
