Information for Buy With Confidence member businesses
This page will help member businesses understand the law, their rights and responsibilities.
Customers' cancellation rights
If you agree a contract with one of your customers during a visit to their home or place of work, you have to give them cancellation rights and a written cancellation notice. If you don't, you may not be able to enforce the contract and get paid.
Trading Standards has produced a podcast to help you understand this. Click here to view the cancellation rights podcast. (The podcast is hosted on Nottinghamshire County Council's Buy With Confidence webpage.)
We've also produced a form to help you comply. Download the form and save it to your computer. The form includes instructions on how to use it.
Download our business information leaflet for more information on the law and your responsibilities.
BWC News is the newsletter for member businesses. Issue 3 was published in May 2011. These will keep you up to date with what's been happening in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Buy With Confidence.
