Regular children's activities at libraries
Story and Totstimes are held in all libraries on a regular basis. Any Under 5 child is very welcome with their parent or carer.
We are particularly keen to encourage those with babies and toddlers to join us as we have lots of books, toys and activities to amuse them.
Many of our storytimes feature music and rhyme, with simple instruments for small hands to hold. Don't forget that no-one is too young to join the library and enjoy sharing books. Library staff can also offer advice on choosing and using books.

Most libraries hold special activity sessions for children during the school holidays; in the summer holidays children can take part in the annual Summer Reading Challenge, this year it is called Story Lab. Click here for more information.
Nottingham Children's Book Award 2012. All winners are selected by Nottingham's children!
Every library has a Parents/carers collection too - everything from how to deal with toddler tantrums to decorating birthday cakes....
Local groups are also welcome to attend - please contact the library concerned to arrange a visit.
