Nottingham Children's Festival 2010
Bring your children along to a fantastic summer festival that's full of fun and lots of free activities! From 31 July - 15 August 2010 at various locations around Nottingham.
Two weeks of exciting activities and events, with lots of things to do for FREE.
If your children love music, dance, art, theatre or creative play bring them along to Nottingham Children's Festival for a summer holiday treat that's packed full of fun. This will certainly keep them busy and occupied for many a happy hour on end.
Forthcoming Festival Highlights
Folk Legends and Fairy Tales, Nottingham Castle
31 July, 11am – 5pm
Story telling, puppet shows, theatre and participatory games and activities on the theme of folk legends
Nottingham Children's Festival Art Competition and Exhibition, Nottingham Castle
31 July, 11 – 5 pm, Why not draw a fabulous picture or make a stunning sculpture inspired by your favourite folk heroes and fairy tales - from Robin Hood to Tinkerbell? Enter your artwork in the Festival exhibition and win a prize. Age groups: 0-3yrs, 4-6yrs, 7-9yrs, 10-12yrs. Entries taken all day. Winners announced at 3pm.
Riverside Festival – Children's Festival Arts Zone Activities
Friday 6th, 6.30pm – 9pm
Saturday 7th, 12pm – 9pm
Sunday 8 August, 12pm – 6pm .
Nottingham Riverside Festival's Art Zone brings you a packed programme of creative activities for the whole family, join in the hands on fun workshops, plus dance and puppet shows and much more...
Children's Picnic - Wollaton Hall*
Sunday 15 August, 11am – 5pm
Bring your friends, family, a picnic and enjoy a fun filled day of activities and adventure. Learn more about the world's endangered species; see walk about Gorilla's, Yaks and Hippos. Listen to stories, see theatre or take part in a workshop and make something to take home. Join in the Best Dressed Teddy Competition Bring your teddy dressed for an outdoor adventure. Register at the information stand by 2 pm. Winners announced at 4 pm.
