Voluntary and Community Sector

The voluntary and community sector has an important role working with partners to achieve better outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Representatives from this sector ensure that the views of the community and voluntary sector inform and influence the decisions of the Strategic Partnership, so that services are improved for the most disadavantaged communities in the city.

It is recognised that due to the skills and expertise the voluntary and community sector offers, it may be better placed to ensure that a particular service meets the needs of users.
