Housing Allocations Policy

Nottingham City Council has a legal duty to have an allocations policy. The allocations policy aims to address housing need in the city and and contribute to the development of sustainable neighbourhoods.

It is also a requirement of the Council to make the most effective use of it's housing stock i.e. providing housing to those in need.

The Allocations Policy is currently under review to ensure it reflects the Homeless Reduction Act and meets the requirements of Nottingham citizens.
