cottages below the Castle rock, gives glimpses into the

years through reconstructed rooms and shops.

Wollaton Hall is a magnificent late Elizabethan
mansion set in a park and housing the city's Natural
History Museum. Displays show wildlife and habitats of
the region plus specimens from around the world.

Industrial Museum and Yard Gallery

The Industrial Museum is housed in the 18th century
stable block for Wollaton Hall. It tells the story of the
industries of Nottingham and its environs, from heavy
industries such as coal mining and engineering to its
famous lace.
The Yard is a new gallery for the exhibition of
contemporary arts.

Newstead Abbey

Newstead Abbey dates back to the 13th century when
it was founded as Abbey. It is more famous as the home of
the poet Lord Byron. The house displays many relics,
possessions and manuscripts of the poet. There are
extensive grounds and gardens to enjoy.
