FRIENDS OF GREEN'S MILL
Who are the Friends of Green's Mill?
The Friends are a group of people who want to support and
promote activities at Green's Mill and who wish to preserve the
milling heritage there. Membership is open to anyone who wants to
enjoy an association with the mill.
How did the Friends get started?
Since the Mill and Centre opened in 1985 the staff have
raised funds for the mill by activities such as selling plants,
providing refreshments and organising events for visitors. This
has enabled them to buy plants and planters and seating for the
millyard, pieces of equipment and to sponsor publications.
The Friends has now been put on a more formal basis and opened to
all
The benefits of membership
How to join the Friends of Green's Mill
Membership for this year is still only £1.00. Please make
cheques payable to the Friends of Green's Mill and send to the
Secretary, Green's Mill and Centre, Windmill Lane, Sneinton,
Nottingham, NG2 4QB.
Overseas members: please note that we can only accept payment in sterling as it costs us more than the membership fee to process other payments. So, we have come up with a special offer: you can have free membership providing you do something for us. We collect images and information on windmills - and watermills - world-wide. So, for your free membership send us a postcard, photo, visitors leaflet or something else to do with a mill. Do you have a local mill that you could photograph? Was there a miller in your family with a tale to tell? Or perhaps a recipe using stoneground flour that you would like to share with the other members? We'll let everybody know what kind of response we get.
