Travel information


Date:
There is no public parking available at the Nottingham Goose fair site (except for Blue Badge holders) so it is recommended that visitors make use of Nottingham's state-of-the-art public transport system. Choose from the various park and ride sites for tram and bus services. Alternatively use the city centre car parks and catch the tram from the Old Market Square.

By car:
Nottingham Goose Fair is located on the Forest Recreation Ground just off Mansfield Road, just 11 miles from Junction 24, 9 miles from Junction 25 and 5 miles from Junction 26 of M1. The Goose Fair Park and Ride site at Queen's Drive, city centre car parks and coach parks will be AA signposted on all main roads to the city.

Please note that there is no public car parking available for this event (except for Blue Badge holders).

On-street parking is also unavailable due to road closures around the Forest Recreation Ground for the duration of the fair.

By tram:
Trams from and to the City Centre stop directly at the fairground on the Forest site. Normal fares will apply.

By bus:
Regular city buses travelling along Mansfield Road to and from the city will stop at or opposite Forest Gate, next to the entrance to the fair. Normal bus fares will apply.

Buses from the City Centre to Mansfield Road Forest Gate are:
* Brown line 15, 16, 17 from Milton Street opposite John Lewis
* Lime line 56, 57, 58, 59 from Parliament Street
* Yellow line 69, 70, 71, 72 from Milton Street opposite the Clock Tower
* Purple Line 87, 88, 89 from Parliament Street

By Park & Ride:
The Queen’s Drive bus Park and Ride service (number 306) will provide regular shuttle runs to the fairground.
