Community-led support is about developing community-led conversations - exploring and building on the skills, experiences, strengths and resources that people, their families, neighbours and communities all have.
It’s thinking about how to work more efficiently with people and produce better outcomes by working face to face in local ’hubs.’
The programme works by bringing adult social care staff, partners, voluntary organisations, community groups and local people together to work out how to best make this happen. We call this co-production.
We have arranged a number of briefing sessions where Brian Frisby (National Development Team for Inclusion) will give an overview of the history, learning and successes of community-led support in other places, answer your questions and provide an opportunity for discussion about our local content and opportunities.
The briefing sessions are being held at the Notts Deaf Society, 22 Forest Road West, Nottingham, NG7 4EQ and there are held at various times throughout the day. If interested, please click here to select your preferred time and to reserve your place.
