Proposed Police Changes Survey

Consultation Details

We asked you to tell us your views on the proposed changes to the way Nottinghamshire Police is organised.

The proposal is to replace the current City Police Division with a Countywide Division. Currently the City Police Division is led by a Chief Superintendent whereas the new structure would have senior police officers working on themes across both the City and County. The City Council is concerned that these changes could put at risk the progress that has been made through effective joint working between the Police and the Council over the last ten years. Most other major cities in the UK have their own police division able to focuson tackling city crime issues.
